If you have one or more leather armchairs in your living room, do you ever think about moving them around? Most people don’t – they simply buy what they need, position them where they want them and leave it at that.
But sometimes it can be nice to reposition your armchairs. That could mean moving them elsewhere in the room, or perhaps even moving them into a different room altogether. One of the best things about leather armchairs is that they can fit into a myriad of room settings and styles. They are timeless and in a sense they are more versatile than normal fabric armchairs.
But why would you want to move them around in the first place? One reason you might want to do this is to avoid the armchair from becoming bleached by the sun. This is most likely to happen if you have the armchair sitting very close to the window, but of course it does depend on which angle the sun comes in at. You may find it isn’t a problem.
Another thing some people like to do is simply to change the layout of a room from time to time to freshen things up a bit. There might be a specific reason for this – for example you might have a new rug that requires you to move some furniture around to fit it in. Or alternatively you might just feel the need for a change.
Remember too that you can move a leather armchair out of one room and into another as well. If your bedroom is big enough you could always move an armchair out of the lounge and buy one or two new ones for there instead. There are plenty of possibilities and the versatility of a leather armchair means that you can take full advantage of all of them.
One place you may not want to put your leather armchair though is in the conservatory. The amount of sun coming through the glass won’t do the leather any good at all, and will probably wash out some or all the colour before too long. If you do decide to do this you would have to put a cover or throw over it to protect the leather – which really spoils the look of it in the first place!
So think carefully about where you want to move your leather armchairs to before you actually do it.
